Celebrate love this valentine

Celebrate love this valentine

Its  February 2017 !  A day when love is traditionally celebrated. Why not celebrate love this valentine ? Valentine’s Day a time to extend LOVE affection and friendship. Each year on this day, many exchange gifts, candy, fragrance, flowers and a variety of spoils.  Valentine’s Day is named after a Christian martyr and dates back to the 5th century, but has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia.  For most, the meaning has no important significance, reasons, it is an opportunity to celebrate love.

Valentine’s Day remains memorable to many who hold dear moments to heart, while on the other hand, many others who have nothing of significance to hold to. This year, you have yet another opportunity to write your love story.  It does not matter where you are coming from, the disappointments that you have had, the pain, betrayal, or frustration experienced. Remember you have what it takes to attract love and enjoy it and thrive!

If you are having trouble connecting with anyone and finding love, it could be that you are stuck as a result of your past experiences, your gremlins, assumptions, interpretations or limited beliefs. It is always easy to buy into destructive myths that bring about your negative thoughts; you will hear, “there are no good partners available”. Its easy to fall into the trap of gremlins; I am not good enough, I am not attractive enough or I have nothing to offer in a relationship, who really would want me? If you are experiencing any of these feelings or thought patterns, welcome to the real world you are not alone many experience these same feelings.  Someone said “nothing has meaning until you give it meaning” what meaning do you give to situations that were not fruitful? It’s time to look at your saboteurs and call them by name, ask them to get behind you as you match forward towards finding love.  Its time to find the love you so desire for you deserve it. This valentine if you are not in a relationship begin by celebrating ‘yourself’ YOU are the best gift not only to yourself but to some deserving person. Take time to reflect and re-assess your belief system, particularly limiting beliefs; how you interpret love and what past experiences are assumptions hindering your path to healthy fruitful relationships.  The past does not define you, the present is an opportunity and the future is open to for your taking, simply turn a new leaf, and don’t beat yourself too hand and open your eyes, your opportunities is not too far away.  Take your time and purpose to find the one you deserve.

Here are some tips to guide you as you seek to find a healthy, vibrant love relationship;

In seeking a love relationship what are you looking for? Is it good looks, charisma, romantic eyes, a great smile, a great sense of humor?  Different people are attracted to different things, however, a healthy love relationship requires more than looks! While attraction plays a major role, there are other fundamentals; compatibility, respect, trust, integrity commitment, contentment and open communication. Whether you’re looking for a relationship or are already in one, this is applicable to all.

Find someone who;

  • Treats you with respect
  • Does not constantly puts you down
  • Is not threatened by your relationships with friends and family
  • Is not controlling or abusive
  • Is not dependent on drugs and alcohol
  • Is compassionate and empathic
  • Considerate, supportive and has a listening ear
  • Is non-judgmental and accommodative
  • Shares a level of compatibility
  • Has a good reputation, open minded and knowledgeable
  • Has a relationship with his family
  • Has a balanced social life and respects boundaries
  • Affirms and commends your  accomplishments and is secure

Take time to add on to the list, the best candidate does not necessarily have all qualities find out what your non negotiables are.When you find love, you will know it, there is no struggle, and there is a sense of peace, and security. Be true to yourself and evaluate your love life, opportunities surround you.

Live, love and thrive!

Interacting with Maina Kageni of Classic 105 yesterday got me thinking about the importance of specializing in your NICHE market. He has done many things and eventually found himself in the media, which is clearly his element. It reminded me that when you narrow down to the one thing that you love to do, success simply shows up and pursues you. There is no doubt that Maina is living his dream having found his niche. He would not trade it with anything else, he simply LOVES what he does. I am passionate about changing lives, through; teaching, training, coaching, mentoring and counselling individuals, couples and teams so that they may Live Purposefully, Love Passionately and Thrive Unapologetically, for the Glory of God. Have you identified your niche yet? Does not matter where you are at, what your side hustle, whether you know your purpose or passion. What matters most is that you never stop pursuing your dreams and narrow down your NICHE; the one thing that you love to do. How do you do this? 1.	Identify your gifts, talents and skills.
